The regular season has come to an end, and 12 of the 30 major-league clubs are excitedly preparing for the playoffs.
The other 18 teams are beginning their offseasons today, and I’m going to join them.
I’ve posted a new installment of this newsletter, Baseball’s Best (and Worst), every weekday since April 3 — that’s 130 stories in all — but it’s time to slow the pace. I intend to focus most of my attention on other pursuits and projects for awhile.
My short-term plan is to continue the newsletter on an intermittent basis, eventually settling on a regular schedule during the fall and winter months. I posted twice a week between the summer of 2020 and the spring of 2023. Perhaps I’ll go back to that.
If you have any thoughts, comments, or questions, feel free to write at niawanda [at] roadrunner [dot] com. I’ll be posting another entry at some point this month, but in the meantime, I’ll be enjoying the playoffs. I hope you do, too.
