About Baseball’s Best (and Worst)

The title says it all, I think, or at least I hope it does.

This is a blog about the best (and worst) teams, players, games, and performances in baseball history. Some of the stories are about current times, but many of my entries are about the past.

The inspiration for this blog is a book I wrote a few years ago, The Best (and Worst) of Baseball’s Modern Era, which focused on the period from 1961 to 2016. I have written 16 books in all — a few about baseball, but mostly about history, politics, and demographics.

New entries will appear every weekday.
